Restaurants

At last I can formally announce that, in the field of food at least, the Czech Republic has finally become cosmopolitan. I think the crucial moment arrived when a Pakistani restaurant opened its doors in a less than top notch neighbourhood. Now we boast Thai and Turkish, Japanese and Russian (surprised?), Mexican and Moroccan, Irish and Italian You name it, it has opened -- and in many cases closed again. Prices are usually astonishingly reasonable, although in some restaurants they are just astonishing. Drink prices are a hazard if you are teetering on the edge of alcoholism. Vodka at 3 .5 USD a bottle. The best beer in the world for 50 Cents a half litre. Drinkable wine at a dollar a bottle. Satan, get thee behind me!
